Terms of Service
By using MoneySweep, the watchlist newsletter, or any related materials, you agree to these terms.
Service description
MoneySweep is an informational and aggregation service that surfaces publicly available unclaimed-property and benefit databases. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency. Names of agencies are factual references only.
Not legal or financial advice
Information provided by MoneySweep is informational. It does not constitute legal, tax, or financial advice. For decisions about your specific situation, consult a licensed professional.
No guarantees
MoneySweep does not promise that you will recover any particular amount, or any amount at all. Whether unclaimed property exists in your name depends on factors beyond our control, including which agencies hold records and whether records can be matched to you.
Free at source
Every public unclaimed-property and benefit database referenced by MoneySweep is free to search and to claim from at the source. MoneySweep charges (when the paid product launches) for aggregation, walkthrough, and time savings, not for access to information that is otherwise free.
Acceptable use
- Do not impersonate other people or submit false identity information
- Do not scrape, automate, or attempt to circumvent rate limits
- Do not use the service to harass, harm, or defraud others
Intellectual property
The MoneySweep brand, including the wordmark, logo, "MoneySweep Watch" series, "The 7-Scam Watchlist", and all written content and visual design, is the property of MoneySweep and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or republished without written permission.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoneySweep is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any direct damages will not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months, or US$50, whichever is greater.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified via the email on file. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of operation, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
