1. Agreement to terms
By accessing moneysweep.co, guide.moneysweep.co, any subdomain, or by signing up to receive our communications, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Service description
MoneySweep is an informational and aggregation service that surfaces publicly available unclaimed-property and benefit databases for residents of the United States. We compile, organize, and walk users through 7 government-listed sources of unclaimed money. We do not file claims on your behalf, and we do not access agency systems with your credentials.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or contracted with any government agency. Names of agencies (NAUPA, IRS, FDIC, PBGC, NAIC, DOL, VA, RRB, US Treasury) are factual references to public databases. Their use does not imply partnership or endorsement.
3. Not legal, tax, or financial advice
4. No guarantees of recovery
MoneySweep does not promise that you will recover any particular amount of money, or any amount at all. Whether unclaimed property exists in your name depends on factors beyond our control, including: which agencies hold records, whether records can be matched to you, whether claim windows are still open, whether you have the documentation the agency requires, and whether the agency processes your claim.
Any references to typical or potential recovery amounts in our marketing materials are illustrative based on publicly available data and do not constitute a representation of what you specifically will receive.
5. Free at source
Every public unclaimed-property and benefit database referenced by MoneySweep is free to search and to claim from at the source. You can always go directly to the agency. MoneySweep charges (when the paid product launches) for aggregation, walkthrough, time savings, and ongoing tracking, not for access to information that is otherwise free at the source.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Impersonate any person or submit false identifying information
- Use the service to file fraudulent claims or to assist in fraud against any agency or person
- Scrape, automate access, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or security controls
- Access or attempt to access another user's account or data
- Use the service to harass, defraud, threaten, or harm others
- Republish proprietary content or training materials without written permission
- Use the service in any jurisdiction where it would violate local law
7. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your account secure, including the email address you use to receive magic link sign-ins. We use passwordless authentication via verified-domain magic links. If your email account is compromised, your MoneySweep account may be at risk. Notify us at security@moneysweep.co if you suspect unauthorized access.
8. Subscriptions and payment (post-launch)
When the paid MoneySweep product launches, the following terms apply to subscriptions:
- Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or one-time basis as selected at checkout.
- Pricing is the price displayed at the time of purchase. We may change pricing for new sign-ups; existing subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price change affects them.
- Recurring subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account profile or by emailing hello@moneysweep.co.
- One-time MoneySweep Pro purchase grants ongoing access for the lifetime of the product, including future updates. "Lifetime" means the operating life of the product, not your biological life.
9. Refund policy
60-day refund window. If MoneySweep Pro is not for you within the first 60 days, request a full refund by emailing hello@moneysweep.co. No questions asked, no documentation required. After 60 days, refunds are at our discretion and considered case by case.
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5 business days of approval. The processor (Stripe or Digistore24) may take an additional 3-10 business days to post the refund depending on your bank or card issuer.
10. Intellectual property
The MoneySweep brand, including the wordmark, logo, the "MoneySweep Watch" series, "The 7-Scam Watchlist", "MoneySweep Pro", and all written content, source code, visual design, illustrations, and methodology documentation, is the property of MoneySweep and is protected by United States and international copyright and trademark law. It may not be copied, reproduced, redistributed, modified, or republished in whole or in part without prior written permission.
You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the service for your personal, non-commercial purposes for the duration of your account.
11. Third-party services
The service relies on and may link to third-party services (Supabase, Resend, Cloudflare, Vercel, Stripe, Digistore24, government agency websites). Their availability, terms, and privacy policies are independent of ours. We are not responsible for their performance, content, or actions.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted access. We do not warrant that source databases are accurate, complete, or up to date — that depends on the agencies that maintain them.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoneySweep, its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability for any direct damages will not exceed (a) the amount you paid MoneySweep in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold MoneySweep harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of: (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (c) any false or fraudulent information you submit to the service.
15. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that you may bring an individual action in small-claims court if eligible.
Class action waiver: you and MoneySweep agree that arbitration will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If a court rules this waiver unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement is unenforceable.
30-day right to opt out: within 30 days of accepting these Terms, you may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@moneysweep.co with subject "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.
16. Changes to terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified to active users via the email on file at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any non-arbitration matter is the federal or state courts located in Delaware.
